AAMP Global to Stinger:

All your questions are answered here!

Why Stinger?

Stinger better reflects who we are as an organization. It conveys our culture of continuous innovation, captures our enthusiasm about our company, and expresses a solution offering that excites us.

How does this name change affect my business?

We decided to focus on unique plug-and-play vehicle solutions that will drive incremental consumers to your business. Stinger best represents the future of the company and the market.

Is this a global change?

The rebrand affects all global locations, including our UK and Nordics teams.

Was There Research?

Yes! While the conversations around changing our name to Stinger resonated well with our employees and teams, we needed to know how our valued dealer, fleet, and OEM customers would feel through extensive brand research. We heard from most of our partners that a name change to Stinger was best for our community.

Will AAMP Global Email Addresses Change?

Yes, employee email addresses will change from jsmith@aampglobal to jsmith@stingersolutions – but either format will continue to work.

Where Will I Go for Tech Support?

All current phone numbers remain the same, including tech support. Don’t hesitate to contact us Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM (EST0 at 727-592-5991, or submit a help desk ticket here.

Does the rebrand change the company’s channel focus?

No, what has changed is our ability to provide a front-to-back of the vehicle complete plug-and-play solution that is unmatched in the industry. We want to continue to do that and build the best quality product at the best price point to sell globally through all channels.

Does paying invoices change?

No, bank accounts, wire transfers, etc remain the same.  Eventually, invoices will change to Stinger. But we will accept payments made out to AAMP Global.

Does the Formal Corporate Entity Name change?

No.

Does our Tax Number change?

No.

Does anything change within the brands?

No, our portfolio of brands, including PAC, AudioControl, Stinger, Connects2, M2M in Motion, Stinger Commercial, and EchoMaster – and all their respective websites and social media accounts –  remain the same. Overall, rest assured, the name is the only thing changing.  Our teams and our commitment to our global dealer, fleet, and OEM customers remain the same. We look forward to continuing to serve our customers as Stinger!

What happens to AAMP Global?

AAMP has long been known as a distributorship of aftermarket parts behind the dashboard. However, we’ve grown beyond that as a business and aspire to serve more aftermarket auto needs. It only made sense to rebrand and change our name to reflect who we are as a company and where we aim our sights.  As a result, AAMPGlobal.com and its respective social media pages will be sunsetting soon and re-emerging as Stinger Solutions!

Upgrading Hardware For The Future

At M2M In Motion, we are carefully attuned to the new trends and technologies of today’s age. We want to help clients to navigate a sophisticated market and get the gear they need to compete in a fast-paced business world.

To that end, let’s talk a little bit about some of the most important upgrades happening now. Understanding these changes will put your company in the driver’s seat to continue to compete while other firms are getting the latest and best systems set up.

3G to 4G LTE

Yesterday’s old 3G system is quickly becoming obsolete. Systems are being modernized or switching over to the LTE style network for 4G communications even as a new standard called 5G is being introduced.

The quickness of 5G being implemented shows how old-fashioned 3G is now. Many devices are still supported by the old 3G model, but experts estimate that by 2022, end-of-life for 3G will be apparent.

The time when all providers using 3G ditch this technology and shutoff towers in lieu of 4G LTE networks is referred to as the 3G sunset. When this occurs, all of the devices running on 3G (ex: cellphones) will cease to work, which is why now is the time to plan your migration to 4G LTE networks.

Hardware users will likely scramble to get their ducks in a row, caught unawares by this sudden change, much like Windows XP users a few years back had to comb through their networks for XP-dependent stations.

Why LTE?

New LTE networks can be built faster than 3G systems. They also offer more capacity for data broadband delivery.

One way to think of this is to think about how your smartphone or device has changed in the last decade or so. Looking back, we used relatively little bits of data – we did mostly voice with some limited Internet capacity.

Our newer smartphones are incredibly powerful computers that sit in our pockets. As such, they need dedicated communications paradigms that can match their insatiable demand for data. That’s part of what 4G LTE, and then 5G, were set up to address.

Modern Services

Companies that need to upgrade and optimize their hardware and software networks can get adequate support from M2M In Motion.

There’s something in the tech world called a “desired state” – that’s when your systems are all optimized to your needs. Most companies are far away from that goal right now. They need help!

We offer 24/7 support with analytics services and the ability to choose menu options that support your enterprise. With video live streaming and real-time alerts and more, M2M In Motion is helping clients to embrace the future instead of being scared of these new technologies. AAMP Global Acquires M2M in Motion

AAMP Global, a worldwide leader in engineering and manufacturing of commercial and passenger vehicle technology, announced today that it has acquired M2M in Motion, an innovative provider of fleet management solutions.

M2M in Motion is a reputed fleet intelligence software company that started in 2013. Their mission was to deliver a single platform fleet management solution that could support any fleet of any size and any type(s) of vehicle.

“Joining the AAMP Team will allow us to accelerate our growth and development roadmap plans at a pace that was not possible before,” said Sean Meister, COO and Co-Founder of M2M in Motion.

Combining M2M in Motion’s Fleet Management Platform and expertise with the engineering and manufacturing capabilities of AAMP Global will result in a best-in-class product and software solution for GPS tracking and telematics.

“We have been looking to expand our product portfolio to include software solutions as we knew combining our unique sales channel with our hardware expertise and network of install partners offers a true competitive advantage in the market.  We couldn’t be more excited for Sean, Marc and the M2M Team to join us and lead these growth initiatives,”  said Scott Forst, President and CEO of AAMP Global.

M2M in Motion’s existing customers will have no impact on their products and services. The existing platform will continue to support customers who currently manage their fleet on m2mfleetmotion.com and continue growing with new features and capabilities. M2M in Motion customers will also have access to the complete portfolio of products and services offered by AAMP Global.

“AAMP shares our focus of putting the client first,” said Marc Lonson, CEO and Co-Founder of M2M in Motion. “Our existing clients will benefit from more resources and product offerings, an installer network, and extended hours for customer support.”
